We are a Queensland based creative production company specialising in creating original content for kids and adults alike.

Rockmelon Productions is a partnership between Queensland’s Ben Cunningham, an emerging talent in film, television and digital platforms, and New South Wales’ Stuart Carlisle, whose 30-year career in online, TVC, and animation production has brought him to the forefront of streaming entertainment. This creative synergy fuels Rockmelon Productions’ mission to develop high-quality IP for the evolving digital landscape, delivering entertainment that resonates with increasingly online, segmented audiences. By focusing on accessible and engaging stories, Rockmelon Productions will build a loyal base of followers, subscribers, and viewers to create a foundation for future expansion into innovative, world-class content.

OUR TEAM
Stuart Carlisle
Stuart Carlisle is a seasoned creative producer with over three decades of experience in television production, spanning a remarkable career filled with awards, pioneering projects and impactful industry contributions.
In 2006, Stuart co-founded FAH Animation, which led to the production of over 57 hours of animation content and 25 permanent roles. Notably, he produced for international co-productions like Toddworld (2006 Emmy nomination), I Got a Rocket (2008 Emmy win), Dennis & Gnasher (2014 BAFTA win), and Winston Steinburger & Sir Dudley Ding Dong (2017 AEAF Gold win).
In 2015, Stuart co-founded Dave Enterprises, collaborating with DreamWorks Animation on large-scale projects for streaming platforms. Under Stuart’s leadership, Dave Enterprises has generated over 150 hours of quality television across popular series such as She-Ra, Dragons Rescue Riders, Kung Fu Panda, Spirit Riding Free (2019 Emmy Winner) and the incredibly successful children’s series Gabby’s Dollhouse, now streaming on Netflix. The company created more than 55 jobs and continues to be a major content provider for DreamWorks and various leading streaming platforms.
Stuart’s legacy lies in his visionary approach, both as a Producer who has worked across many content pipelines and as an advocate for the future of Australian entertainment production.

Ben Cunningham
Ben is a creative writer/producer/director and father of two boys who believes in the power of creativity and optimism to overcome fear and begin a journey of personal growth.

He has a degree in business and law and a graduate diploma in TV production from AFTRS. ​He has written, produced and directed 3 short films, including ‘Crack’ which was a finalist in the Brisbane International Film Festival and Flickerfest and won the Best Comedy/Drama short at the 15th QLD New Filmmaker Awards. Ben has also worked as an associate producer and comedy writer for Season 3 of ‘Life Support’ on SBS. Ben has a number of other projects in development.

He has worked as a Contract and IP lawyer, an interactive TV producer (BBC and AUSTAR), a Pay TV manager (FOXTEL), and has performed Marketing, Product Management and Agile Digital Transformation roles for Australia’s largest ICT company, Telstra. This last role specialised in taking an iterative, data-based approach to product development, delivering MVP feature sets in incremental drops of code.

Ben’s primary career goal now is to create entertainment that engages and inspires its audience, and he is involved full time in this pursuit (as a creator, writer and producer) with Rockmelon Productions
